Personal Bio: Hello! My name is Valentina Montoya and I'm excited to share my journey as a Sheridan College student with you. Originally from Colombia, I moved to Canada with my husband in December 2022 to pursue my passion for architecture and design. With a background in architecture and two years of experience as a construction finishing supervisor, I arrived at Sheridan with a strong foundation and a desire to learn. During my time here, I've had the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of design and explore new avenues for creativity.
Today is a significant day for me as I proudly graduate with a diploma in Interior Decoration - a testament to my dedication and perseverance. My time at Sheridan has been one of growth and discovery, as I've honed my skills and embraced new challenges with enthusiasm. When I'm not in class, I love to explore the great outdoors and enjoy the winter landscape through snow hiking. I've also been fortunate to travel extensively and experience various cultures firsthand, which has left a lasting impression on me.
Aside from my love of adventure, I also value spending time with loved ones, creating memories, and building connections. Whether it's a cozy dinner with family or a night out with friends, these moments remind me of the significance of community and camaraderie.
As I look back on my experience at Sheridan College, I'm grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have helped shape me into the person I am today. With my newfound knowledge and passion for design, I'm excited to see where my journey takes me next and to make a meaningful impact in the world of interior decoration. Thank you, Sheridan College, for providing me with the inspiration and tools to pursue my dreams. As I move forward, I carry with me the lessons learned and memories made, forever thankful for the role you've played in my creative journey.
